Gay Asians and those who attend events and who are at different levels of being "out," can feel comfortable being among others who understand and offer their support. Organizers of the group have planned a membership and promotional drive over the next few weeks, and have announced the first event, which will celebrate the Asian community's Mid-Autumn Festival. Asians & Friends - Vancouver will introduce itself by hosting a "Moon Night Romance - Red Lantern Potluck" on Saturday evening, September 25th at a location to be announced soon.
