Gay and Lesbian Emergence: Out in Canada
CBC Archives the strugle from 1959 to 1981. It was a time of protests, legal fights and backlash. With a growing sense of solidarity, gays and lesbians became more visible in Canadian society in the 1960s, '70s and early '80s. Public attitudes about homosexuality gradually improved as more Canadians came out of the closet to demand acceptance and equality under the law.

SEAMEC publishes its ratings in advance of the primary and general elections, so voters can make an informed choice.

Your Family Friends and Neighbors, inc.
Your Family, Friends, and Neighbors (YFFN), is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating others about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender concerns as well as to provide resources for the glbt community in Idaho. YFFN's current projects include Women's Night, Youth Alliance for Diversity, Speak OUT! Idaho, National Coming Out Day, PRIDE!, Legislator Education Day, and several others. We are in the process of revitalizing our Anti-Violence Project, and starting new projects to reach out and educate about the Transgendered, GLBT parents, and GLBT seniors.
