- Rio Grande Adelante, also known just as Adelante, is dedicated to serving all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and supportive people in the tristate, binational border area. Adelante has provided an affirming environmentfor education, empowerment and coalition building. Adelante has encouraged and supported educational, political, spiritual, and social activities for the L.G.B.T. community. Adelante maintains a database to help those seeking inforation on issues, organizations and activities within the Greater El Paso region. Adelante will be part of the ongoing effort to eliminate homophobia and hetrosexism and to create society recognizing its common interests through celebrating the diversity of its citizens.
